Dimension: (typical) 25-100 sqm.

The project tries to resolve the problem of the typical urban gas station: the degradation characterizing the immediate surrounding of the small implantations, in direct contact with the urban street life in historical centres, parks, consolidated urban quarters. In alternative to the nonsense rhetorical communications approaches, based on a generic and improbable “green” image to “polish” the gas pump common image, this concept proposes to redefine the image of the gas pump through the transformation of the boxes and canopies into Urban Windows. The gifts, the merchandising and the marketing communications will be displayed on and inside a  a modular, light system of containers. The landscape of street windows will continue into the gas station space, which blurs with the surrounding shops. The light around the commercial windows will make the gas pump space safer at night. The typical canopy will be used as a support for LED walls with moving texts and images, installed on the vertical faces of the exhisting canopies and on the horizontal faces of the new canopies. Corporate logos, works of art, natural landscape images, and municipal information will be shown in a loop or by adopting creative programs of communication, on particular days of the year. The gas station becomes a medium for cultural communication and advertisement, a street window activating and recovering the surroundings, working with only the existing urban matter.

Dimensione: (tipica) 25-100 mq.
